A young girl with dust-covered skin and intense eyes grips a worn hammer while working in a brick field in Bangladesh. She wears a faded pink shirt with a cartoon print, contrasting with the harsh labour she endures. Behind her, women and other workers move among piles of broken bricks. Her determined, solemn expression reflects the harsh reality of child labour in the brick-making industry.

In October 2023, I travelled to Santiago, Chile, to present RAW BEAUTY, my documentary photography project exploring resilience, labour, and everyday life in Bangladesh. The project was launched as both a solo exhibition and a photobook at Foto y Barrio Gallery, introducing the work to Chilean audiences through an exhibition, artist talks, and the book presentation.
