Child Labour – Dhaka, Bangladesh

A young boy wearing tattered clothes and protective goggles crouches on a dusty workshop floor in Bangladesh, hammering metal near heavy industrial machinery, highlighting the harsh reality of child labour.

This documentary photography project sheds light on the ongoing human rights crisis of child labour in Bangladesh. Through raw, intimate, and unfiltered imagery, I explore the lives of children forced to work in harsh, often dangerous conditions—from metal workshops to garment factories. These are not just photographs; they are visual testimonies of stolen childhoods, resilience under pressure, and the hidden cost of poverty.

As a photographer, my goal is not just to document what I see but to challenge the silence surrounding these injustices. This series is part of a broader commitment to ethical storytelling and visual advocacy—using the power of photography to amplify the voices of those too often ignored.

Child labour is a violation of human rights. Yet it persists. With this project, I invite you to witness, reflect, and ask: Why is this still happening?
